9-12 March on DC

I’ll be posting pictures in the next day or so as I get time to get them up. First, the platform at Federal Triangle Metro Station at 0830:

On the arrival of each train, a loud cheer greeted the arrivals.  The platform was full when I arrived but everyone was in a great mood.

From a planter at Federal Triangle at 1036 as people started to march off.  They started by state; Indiana was passing me.

Below, at the same time, toward the Capitol.  People seem already to have filled Pennsylvania Ave all the way to the capitol.  Along the way (especially at 7th) other streams of people converged on the march.

Here’s a “marcher” who didn’t last long.

A nice young woman standing above the crowd took this for me.  Everyone was so nice and helpful.

There were people everywhere. Although it was a serious message, everyone was in a good mood, friendly and helpful, chatting with complete strangers as if they’d known them all their lives.

In fact, they had.  This was America come to Washington.

Note: Follow that link above to Randy’s blog for more great pics and a reasonable estimate of the crowd. You won’t hear it in the lamestream media.
