In the middle of the night last night, the House passed the massive 2,000-page health care bill. Such an abomination could only be passed under cover of darkness. Yet it did not go unwatched. Tea Party patriots in the galleries saw it happen and we know who voted for it.
This bill passed in essentially the same form it was introduced–including the public option that will eventually swallow any private option and with penalties for refusing to buy health insurance. Can anything be more unconstitutional? Yet the Democrat leadership is not the least bit concerned with the legality of it.
The American people are against it. Townhall meetings opposed it. Marches on the capitol protested it and the accompanying spending. Poll after poll say the vast majority of people like their health insurance just as it is. Yet the Democrat leadership is not the least bit concerned with our opinion of it.
Under the guise of reforming health insurance, this bill will transform the health care industry. It will result in rationed health care for some and poorer health care for all. Yet the Democrat leadership is not the least bit concerned with the quality of our health care.
What are they concerned about? Power. This is all about transferring the wealth from those who didn’t vote for them to those who will. Having deceived an unsuspecting public with Alinsky-style tactics and Soros money in 2008, they are doing everything they can as fast as they can to cement their position. They know that if they can weather this tsunami of opposition, when the wave has passed the public will meekly accept anything they do.
Or are they wrong?
